Saw Annie last year and it's a great show, so am looking forward to seeing it again. Will be good to see Phil back on stage again. Apparently the show went down really well in Glasgow so hopefully it'll be a successful tour all round! Milton Keynes next week. Reviews from Glasgow here www.supollard.org/news.html

Rosemary are you still planning a trip up to Norwich? If you are let me know and I'll pop up to the theatre to say hello to you. I had been planning to come but there is one small obstacle - I can't get a show ticket. That matinee's sold out and I can't get to any others. Great it's so popular but I could have done with them having just one little seat for me somewhere. Have a train ticket already as well. Maybe they'll get some returns or something. We'll see, I'll have to let you know.

Having had to cancel my trip to Norwich, I went to Eastbourne yesterday instead.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was so good to see Phil back on stage again. He plays several different roles and has a fair bit to do - shows off his American accent and comic skills. He plays a New York cop, a butler, a ventriloquist (with very fetching orange wig, lol!), a politician (who can't sing!) and a judge. Was really interesting seeing him play roles so different from Reuben in Joseph.
Had a chat to him afterwards and he said he's well and enjoying doing the show.
I'll be going again when the tour reaches Wimbledon.

Had a good day in Wimbledon last Saturday despite pouring rain, and train problems getting me there only just in time. Saw both shows and ended up in 2nd and front rows unexpectedly - full houses for both and very enthusiastic audiences. Was lovely to see the show is doing so well. Apparently the theatre has said it was the most popular show they've had there so far since it reopened in February. Phil is still well, did a fab job on stage, is just so funny during the comic bits he does! He's looking forward to a week's break the week after next. Is still in regular touch with the other ex-Jo cast so that's nice to hear. Afraid I didn't ask for any updates on anyone though. Hels, when we go in December, you'll have to try to put aside your balloon phobia as they release balloons into the audience during the finale...

I'm sure I'll be up to see you again at some point before too long, Hels. Maybe in the summer this time though, I've only seen Liverpool in December/January!
Well, the Annie tour wound up last night and I hope it got a good send off. It will probably go out again later this year, it seems to be a popular show.
But hopefully Phil will be back on stage before then anyway! All the best to him for getting his next job very soon.
