Ronan says he's going to ditch his pop past for a new direction on his latest album. But anyone expecting raps with an Irish lilt will be disappointed. Ronan says he'll leave the rapping to someone else. And he has some famous names in mind to help him with his change in image. The former Boyzone star's wishlist includes Mis-Teeq, Ms Dynamite and Jamelia. He said: 'I'd love to try something different like hip-hop and R&B. Of course, I'm not sure I'd be rapping. 'I'd get someone else to do the rap. I'd love Mary J Blige, but she'd hardly do it. Maybe a British artist like Jamelia.' Ronan, 27, was in Edinburgh last night to play an Up Close event in front of 250 radio competition winners at The Hub. His set included hits Loving Each Day, Nothing At All and If Tomorrow Never Comes. He is now promoting his new single Father And Son, a duet with Yusuf Islam, who recorded the song as Cat Stevens in 1970.
