What is the first thing people notice about you?
That I'm Irish. I look and sound Irish so there's no getting away from it.
Name 3 things you couldn't live without
Obviously my family, then my mobile phone and my i-pod.
If we gave you £500 to spend what would you blow it on?
A nice lunch with a bottle of good, red wine. I love Italian food, so I might have that, but I also like Sushi. My favourite restaurant is Nobu, so I'd treat myself to lunch there.
Can you tell us a joke?
I heard a filthy joke last night, but it's so dirty, I can't tell you it. I can't think of any safe, clean jokes at all
What is your biggest bugbear?
Rude people. Rudeness drives me insane, particularly people who go out of their way to be rude to others.
Who or what makes you smile?
My children, my wife, sunshine, holidays, life. My kids are hilarious. They crack me up. They make life real and I love being around them.
What is your favourite childhood holiday destination?
The only place we ever went to was Kerry in the south west of Ireland. Every summer we'd spend a few weeks in a B&B and I loved it. The sun always shone and we were allowed to stay up late because we were on
holiday.
Who's your best friend?
I have a couple of best friends in Ireland; Glin and Trev. I'm always on the phone to them and we hang out together whenever we can. Trev is my cousin - we grew up together. The three of us are like brothers
What don't you understand about the opposite sex?
Christ, where do you want me to start? Everything! But that's what makes it interesting. It's part of the attraction.
What is your first thought when you wake up?
F***, where am I? I have travelled so much recently I often don't know where I am in the mornings.
Can you describe your favourite memory?
My children being born, and getting married was magic. Oh and having my first hit was amazing too.
Who was the last person you saw naked?
Myself, this morning, in the mirror. It wasn't a pretty sight.
Can you describe your perfect lost weekend?
Jumping in the car with the kids and Yvonne, and going for a nice holiday. I'd take the kids swimming, go for a walk, play some golf. Then we'd have dinner. God I'd love that!
What headline would you like to see about yourself?
I wouldn't mind seeing 'Ronan Keating - first Irishman in space'.
Describe your bedroom
It's minimalist - just the bed, a chair. a couple of lamps and a few pictures of the kids. I don't read in bed. I get into bed to sleep and do other things, if you know what I mean.
What's the best lie you've ever told?
Once, when I was younger, I pretended I was a karate expert when I moved to a new school - I thought it would stop me from getting into fights.
What's your nickname?
I don't have one, but my mates call me 'Ro'. Oh and Charlie Big Potatoes. It's a bit of a slag - it means Big Time Charlie, but that's just a joke.
What are 3 essentials for a great night out?
For me, a great night out is all about company and atmosphere, a lot of laughter and good food. I like my food.
Who would you like to be for a day and why?
Someone like George W Bush. I'm intrigued to know exactly what goes on in the White House.
Which famous person dead or alive would you like to be stuck in a lift with?
Elvis Presley. And Frank Sinatra. I'd love to find out what their lives were like - then we could crack open the whiskey and have a laugh.
