The former BOYZONE heart-throb was enjoying a meal at a restaurant in Antrim, Northern Ireland over the weekend when SAM WRIGHT, who was sitting at a nearby table, experienced difficulty breathing when a piece of bread became lodged in her windpipe. Diners and staff remained frozen as Wright struggled to her feet, but Keating jumped into action and performed the HEIMLICH manoeuvre to clear the terrifying blockage. Wright, 36, recalls, "As I swallowed some bread I laughed at a joke. The next thing I knew I was gasping for air. I felt my lungs emptying. I stood up and tried to gasp for air but I couldn't - I was scared. "Everyone was watching me. Then Ronan jumped up, came behind me, put his thumbs under my ribs and pulled back. The bread popped out and I could breathe. Thank God Ronan was there. "I've always been a massive fan - but now he's my hero." 21/06/2005
