I hope no-one minds but I wanted to add a little post about the Pancreatic Cancer UK charity. Pancreatic cancer is what I have. It's a relatively unknown cancer but there are still 7000 cases presented in the UK each year and the problem is, it is generally very difficult to detect until it is too late to cure. There is a definite need for more research into the disease. There is a website for the charity if anyone would like to find out more. Who knows, learning a bit more about it may help save someone you know's life. The address is www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/PCwhoarewe.htm and there are links to lots of information. I would just like to help increase awareness about this cancer and maybe some people may like to donate or help in some way. They even have their own ribbon, which is purple. It's a bit of a depressing read, I know, but there are some inspiring patient stories on there. Anyway, like I say, I hope no-one minds but, obviously, this is something important to me, and any support, even just people reading it and understanding what I have, will be appreciated.
