On 8th October, we are doing a sponsored walk around London for Pancreatic Cancer UK (registered charity no. 1112708). For more information, please visit www.justgiving.com/purplefluffytheatrewalk. This is a charity very close to our hearts, and we are sure that many of you feel the same way, so any donations for this worthwhile cause would be gratefully received. Ria & Jenny

A quick note for anyone who would like to join us. Please get in touch with us personally, either by PM, text, or email (the address is on the sponsorship page at www.justgiving.com/purplefluffytheatrewalk). If we have not heard from you personally, you cannot join us, as we need to provide accurate numbers and have a list of names of walkers for insurance purposes. We also need to send you a sponsorship form, as without sponsorship you will not be able to join us.

Update from me...I'm afraid it's not looking good for my being at the walk, let alone do it. I have my first chemo session on the 5th and all the medical people I've spoken to seem to think I won't be up to it so soon afterwards. But I may be fine, it affects different people different ways. I'll be there if I can believe me! Anyway, we're still looking for walkers and sonsorship and if you do want to join in the walk, please contact purplefluffytheatrewalk@hotmail.co.uk as soon as possible so you can be sorted. You will need to be registered and have the official sponsorship form and so on. Thanks! And don't forget the JustGiving page is available for adding your sponsorship www.justgiving.com/purplefluffytheatrewalk, or you can be added to one of our paper sponsorship forms if you prefer, in which case, you could just contact one of us by PM. Think that's all for now - I'm sure there'll be more about this in the next few days - like a starting point/tiime and route for one thing...

We did our walk today. Thank you to those that joined us, we hope you had a good day! The total sponsorship raised so far exceeds £1000. Again, huge thanks to those who have sponsored us. For those that haven't, our online sponsorship page at www.justgiving.com/purplefluffytheatrewalk will remain open for a few more weeks. Ria & Jenny

First if all, You didn't let me down by not getting to the walk, Hels. I know it was difficult for some people to get there, what with distance, expense etc. So don't feel bad about it! After all, I didn't even make it myself in the end!
I'm still stunned at the amount that was made. I still have £40 to collect from sponsors (yes, they do still have to pay up beause it was a group sponsorship ). I've just put the second signed portrait on Ebay, so they'll get the money from that. I'd say we've done a pretty good job for them!
Anyway, like I said, Hels, don't beat yourself up about the walk, I know you'd have done it if you could. And so would I.
