Apparently this search for a musical star will culminate in the winners taking roles in Chicago and the show being broadcast towards the end of November.
So definitely one to watch I think!

More on this, from the We Love Telly magazine that comes with the Mirror on Saturdays.
Theatre of dreams
Stage-struck wannabes get the chance to star in the West End musical Chicago
The pressure is on for Mary King and a team of theatrical star-spotters. The team has eight weeks to find two ordinary members of the public to star in a live performance of the West End musical Chicago (starring Jennifer Ellison*).
Experienced professionals need not apply and voice coach Mary knows what she's looking for. 'We need to see a whole range of skills. They need to have a feeling for song and a bit of oomph!'
This five-part series begins with auditions in London. The West End wannabes prove they can hold a tune in a bucket, but they're about as mobile as the Tin Man from the Wizard Of Oz!
As the judges go nationwide, there are a further 200 applicants to audition and some real talent begins to emerge. In Cardiff, Ceri proves the Welsh are still in fine voice, and in Manchester, Warren turns in a performance worthy of Billy Elliot.
A visit to Glasgow further lightens the mood and, for the lucky few, the next stage is a weekend workshop in London. It's here the musical maakeover really begins...
Musicality, Channel 4, Wed, 9pm
* and, more importantly, our very own, the beautiful, talented Kay Murphy!
Looking forward to seeing this - should be a real eye-opener!

There's now a dedicated website for the series at www.channel4.com/learning/microsites/I/ideasfactory/musicality/index.htmlSome interesting stuff on there. There's a competition to win tickets to the performance of Chicago - on 25th November - which will feature the winners. Not seen anything of the Chicago cast so far on the programmes - still at the auditioning stages. Hopefully we will soon. Assume they'll be filming them in rehearsals etc.

Well, I thought the final programme last night was really good. The five winners were much better than I expected and it was fab to see so much of the show itself, including the lovely Kay. And that guy certain people like...what's his name? Oh yes, Kevin... Not sure the winners would be able to maintain those performances night after night without a lot more experience and training, but it was a great opportunity for them and I'm sure they enjoyed it.
