www.thestage.co.uk/paper/0352/0102.shtmlJoseph ousts Me and My Girl by Ruth Gillespie Me and My Girl, which was due to open at the New London Theatre in May, has been postponed indefinitely after venue programmers revealed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat would be extending its run for more than 12 months. Noel Gay Productions, the company behind Me and My Girl, discovered last week that the Really Useful Group theatre would no longer be available and was forced to seek alternative arrangements. General manager of Noel Gay Productions Alistair Smith said: "We will not be able to find another venue on this timescale which is unfortunate as we had our principle creative team secured and we had started auditioning for the production. It has been such a disappointment but unfortunately in the West End there is no alternative but to begin the planning process before a venue has been secured and there are always several other shows queuing up to get in." Joseph opened at the New London on February 12, 2003 and, according to RUG, was due to close on February 28, 2004. However, producer Bill Kenwright Limited has confirmed that the show will continue booking into 2005.
